Morrison Kent has extensive experience in advising on the formation, management and governance of incorporated societies, charitable and community trusts, including applying for charitable tax status.  We have successfully applied to the High Court for orders to vary the terms of charitable trusts.

We have a thorough understanding of relevant legislation including the Charities Act 2005.  Under this Act there will be a degree of scrutiny of the affairs of (registered) charitable entities. 

We can assist charitable entities meet the provisions of the new regime including registration with the Charities Commission, along with their ongoing financial reporting requirements.
