Experience

Peter is the head of Morrison Kent’s Auckland Commercial Property and Business Team.  He has extensive experience in all aspects of property law both commercial and residential.  He is also involved in the sale and purchases of businesses.

Peter’s work ranges from substantial and complex transactions involving rural, commercial and industrial properties for investors, developers, subdividers, public and private companies and institutions as well as in the sale and purchase of residential properties.  He has also represented a number of overseas parties establishing activities in New Zealand.  He also has extensive experience in a myriad of forestry arrangements.

Peter’s legal work has included establishing of one of the first farm park developments in New Zealand and more recently has been involved in advising on and the structuring of a number of complex lifestyle subdivisions involving the establishment of Incorporated Residents Association to assume and be responsible for the multiplicity of unique obligations arising on those subdivisions.

Peter has many years experience in estate planning and management and the preparation and administration of trusts and wills.

Peter has been a partner of Morrison Kent and its predecessor firms since 1973.  He acts as a professional trustee for a number of substantial private trusts.  Peter is also involved voluntarily in a number of charitable organisations.
