Mid Winter Christmas at Ronald McDonald House, Wellington

Morrison Kent Wellington is a long time participant and supporter of the Volunteer Wellington Corporate Challenge.

On the back of two very successful dinners at Ronald McDonald House in 2010, Morrison Kent Wellington were very pleased to be invited back to Ronald McDonald House for a very special event, a Midwinter Christmas party for the families and children staying in temporary accommodation while Ronald McDonald House is demolished and rebuilt.

The families at Ronald McDonald House were treated to a full roast meal, together with Christmas crackers, a decorated Christmas tree and even Christmas carols.  Santa appeared shortly before dinner in the form of senior partner Richard Caughley, much to the delight of the children present.

As with every year, Morrison Kent found the Corporate Challenge to be a privilege, an excellent way to give back to the community and also an excellent team building exercise, with administrative staff, solicitors and partners all chipping in to help.  It was also great to have the hardworking staff of Ronald McDonald House at the party.

Morrison Kent has appointed two new associates at its Auckland office, Meryl Duval and Nick Farrands.

Meryl was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2003.  Prior to joining the Commercial Law team at Morrison Kent in September 2010, Meryl practiced as a senior solicitor at a specialist boutique firm and following that spent time in the Commercial Law department of a large Auckland law firm.
